Time is our most precious resource. I can't get my time back, but at least along the way, I can make it meaningful, how and where I spend it.

Something I have learned in my time in architecture is that design takes time. A sketch or flash of inspiration may strike in an instant, but it takes time for a project and its design to properly gestate. Each line represents time that went into it, and the time, money and materials that it will take to build it. Thus, simplicity becomes essential, when dealing with limited resources.

But getting there... to simplicity... that's the art. It takes time to refine a concept, to bring together the multiplicity of inputs on a project, to begin to try to understand them...

If I can communicate clearly, in laymen's terms, then this is already a form of understanding. I want to talk about the issues clearly.
