How We Work

The Process

Time is limited, so where it’s spent should be significant. Space can be a form of care.

Method

I believe in listening — for quiet things, silences and subtleties. Finding where the water weeps.

Beauty in plain sight. Architecture can have healing properties, calming to the mind and body. Through an architecture of sensory engagement — bringing out the latent qualities of the site — nature's beauty becomes emphasized.

Simplicity becomes an ethos: a frame for seeing nature's constantly changing conditions. The light upon the ocean, diffuse in May, or glistening in the leaves at midday. Reflecting on the surface. The feeling of the breeze.

Designed to endure — increasing one's awareness of the site over time, bringing closer contact with beauty in everyday life. To live attuned to subtle beauty, so that each day becomes a lotus, in the infinite blossoming of this moment.

Design is difficult. It requires listening. I am intuitive; I feel for others and seek to practice with compassion. So I strive to create spaces that convey beauty, and human dignity.

Program & pre-design — understanding needs

01

Schematic Design

We begin with intensive listening. Site visits, conversations about how you live and work, and precedent studies that help align vision before a single line is drawn. The output is a concept: spatial, material, atmospheric.

02

Design Development

Concepts become buildings. We develop plans, sections, elevations, and 3D studies. Materials are selected, structure is coordinated, and the design is tested against budget and code at every turn.

03

Construction Documents

The full technical translation of the design into a buildable set. We coordinate civil, structural, and MEP engineers, navigate permitting, and produce drawings that communicate precisely to contractors.

04

Bidding & Procurement

We assist in the contractor selection process, level bids, and advise on value engineering when needed, protecting design intent without compromising the budget.

05

Construction Administration

We visit the site regularly, answer RFIs, review submittals, and resolve field conditions. Architecture doesn't end at permit. It ends when the last detail is right.
