Palomar Kitchen & Entry

The existing kitchen and front entry were disconnected from each other and from the outdoors. The renovation resequenced the plan: a new entry sequence draws arrival through the garden, and the kitchen opens wide toward the rear yard and sky. Millwork in natural wood and a low palette of white walls and concrete floors unify the two zones. The tree at the front elevation anchors the street edge while softening the boundary between inside and out. The result is a house that feels larger and quieter than before.
